PensionNohu is a free collection of Korea pension and retirement calculators for the National Pension estimated benefit, retirement fund needs, the pension savings tax credit and your retirement timeline.
Every calculation runs in your browser, and we provide it transparently based on the rules and formulas of official institutions. Results are estimates for reference only.
What is PensionNohu
PensionNohu is a free set of tools that helps workers and the self-employed nearing retirement — and anyone preparing early — quickly gauge their pensions and retirement funds. It presents the complex National Pension formula, present-value retirement-fund math and the pension savings tax credit alongside their formulas so anyone can understand them.
Operating principles (E-E-A-T)
- Experience — we break results down item by item, reflecting the fields used in real pension records, year-end tax settlement and retirement drawdown.
- Expertise — we calculate based on system rules such as the National Pension 10-year minimum, the income replacement rate, the 6-million-KRW pension savings limit and the 16.5%/13.2% credit rates.
- Authoritativeness — we link to the standards and sources of official bodies such as the National Pension Service, the National Tax Service and the Financial Supervisory Service.
- Trustworthiness — we disclose our formulas and clearly flag estimated items (especially the National Pension benefit). Your inputs are not collected or stored.
Data sources
The rules behind each calculator are based on the official sources below. Rates and limits can change yearly, and we update to the latest values when they do.
- National Pension Service — National Pension coverage and eligibility, replacement rate, A value
- Hometax (National Tax Service) — pension savings credit rates and limits, pension income tax
- Financial Supervisory Service — integrated guidance on pension savings and IRP
- Integrated Pension Portal — guidance on checking your personal pension balances
A note on accuracy
All PensionNohu results are reference estimates based on your inputs and published formulas. In particular, the National Pension benefit is a simple estimate applying a replacement rate proportional to years of coverage and differs from the actual benefit. Retirement-fund and retirement-simulation figures rely on simplified assumptions about inflation, returns and medical costs. Actual amounts vary with personal circumstances and tax/system changes, so confirm final decisions with official institutions such as the National Pension Service and the National Tax Service, or with a professional.
